New Wellness Centre in Wagga Wagga Now Open for Seniors

Catholic Healthcare’s new Wellness Centre in Wagga Wagga is now open, providing services and support for local Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) and Home Care clients.

The Wellness Centre is open on Thursdays from 10:00am to 2:00pm and is located at The Haven, 156 Bourke St, Wagga Wagga.

“The Centre offers diverse opportunities for clients to enjoy a range of activities in a relaxed environment, while also promoting social connections, fun, confidence, security and wellness for local seniors receiving CHSP and Home Care support,” says Joylene Crossley, Care Advisor for the Riverina Murray region.

“When clients arrive at the Wellness Centre, they can choose from a range of activities focusing on health and wellbeing, independence, self-expression and companionship. 

“As we are a small Wellness Centre, we are able to design a support plan based on client choice, delivered by a friendly, local team of caring and skilled healthcare professionals.”

The Wellness Centre is one of a suite of aged care services provided by Catholic Healthcare in the Riverina region including Home Care Packages, CHSP, Residential Aged Care and Independent Living Units.

The Centre has strict Covid-19 protocols in place with social distancing, sanitising and additional cleaning. All staff and clients attending the Centre are required to have had the flu vaccine, and are screened for Covid-19 symptoms.
