ACH Group Employees the Organisation’s Heart & Soul

on Friday, August 6, 2021

Saturday 7 August is Aged Care Employee Day a day to recognise those who work in the industry and their contributions especially throughout COVID-19. ACH Group CEO Frank Weits said Aged Care Employee Day is an important day for all to acknowledge.

“Throughout COVID-19 aged care workers have been on the frontline every day in what has been a challenging and everchanging environment,” he said.

“Staff at ACH Group have done everything in their control to protect the health and safety of residents and customers, while supporting them to stay connected with their loved ones and live a good life.”

The South Australian aged care provider will celebrate Aged Care Employee Day by teaming up with local chocolatier Bracegirdle’s and delivering gifts to its 1800 staff workforce. Within the chocolate boxes are 30 hidden ‘golden tickets’ each with a voucher to a local tourist attraction.

“Our employees are the heart and soul of our organisation. The chocolate boxes are a gesture from ACH Group’s Executive Team and Board to thank each one of them for their dedication and contribution,” Mr Weits said.

“We thought the golden tickets would evoke a bit of fun and excitement and were also a great way to support South Australian tourism businesses impacted by COVID-19.”

Next year, ACH Group will celebrate Aged Care Employee Day with a larger workforce again.

“As is well-known there is growing demand for aged care services in Australia and in turn this is creating job opportunities,” Mr Weits said.

“There is still the common association that a career in aged care is solely around nursing. Along with nursing and health care worker roles, ACH Group is currently hiring for allied health, community cleaners, information technology, procurement, and property development roles.

“Careers in aged care are rewarding, offer learning opportunities and stability, and as mentioned above there are many jobs available which is important as the pandemic continues to impact employment in a number of sectors.”
