Resthaven Northern Community Services provide a range of home care services, respite for carers, restorative care, therapy, exercise and social support groups in the onsite Health and Wellness Centre. A Resthaven Coordinator can provide you with a range of support, tailored to your needs
Resthaven offers a wide range of flexible services so that you are able to live independently at home.
Support is delivered in your home by trained Resthaven home support workers, or at the Resthaven Northern Community Services site.
You may choose to receive support with household tasks, home maintenance, shopping, social activities, keeping healthy, personal care and nursing care.
To help you stay living at home longer, Resthaven’s Home Care Packages provide in-home assistance and support.
Services are delivered using a Consumer Directed Care (CDC) approach, giving you choice and flexibility in the way you receive your services.
Resthaven’s trained staff deliver services in a way that supports and respects your choices, independence, and privacy, providing peace of mind.

Mr and Mrs Bryan and Faye Wormald, aged 93 and 92, have shown that it’s never too late to fall in love, getting married after meeting at a Resthaven Northern Community Services social group.
Many Resthaven Community Services sites are adapting their centre-based group programs to ensure that clients may continue to access wellness services during the COVID-19 pandemic.
On 31 October, more than 40 Resthaven Northern Community Services clients were supported to attend a special performance of Elgar’s ‘Enigma Variations’ by the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra at the Adelaide Town Hall. Led by Artist in Association, the legendary Pinchas Zukerman, this Master Series 9 ‘Enigma Variations’ are inspired by real people, friends of the composer – a diverse company whose portraits come alive each time they are performed.
Not many people ride to their 90th birthday party on the back of a Harley Davidson motorcycle – but that’s exactly what Mrs Gloria Watkins of Para Hills did!
Gloria, who lives independently in her own home with support from Resthaven Northern Community Services, was a little miffed when her family suggested she wear trousers, rather than a skirt, to her birthday celebrations at the Para Hills Community Club.
The courtyards at Resthaven Northern Community Services are overflowing with delightful raised garden beds, developed and maintained by clients, Mr David Nicholls and Mrs Jan Gaspari, and Occupational Therapists, Rosalind Wren and Mary-Anne Dempsey.
