What makes Charingfield so special

A culture of caring that puts residents first

Feeling at home is about feeling you belong. At Charingfield, the physical and emotional wellbeing of residents are our highest priorities. Our award-winning staff culture program unites our team to work together to put residents first. We listen, respect your choices and support you to live your way.

Generously sized premium suites

Charingfield’s five smaller households mirror the look and rhythm of home, with residents sharing their own homestyle lounge, dining and kitchen areas. Your large, light-filled suite, complete with its own ensuite, kitchenette and veranda, can be furnished and decorated as you like, and your privacy will always be respected. Fully refundable room deposits range from $802,000 to $1,123,000.

Carers who get to know you well

Each household has a dedicated care team on- hand 24/7 to provide familiar and consistent care. We focus on getting to know your story, likes and routine to provide a holistic and tailored care experience. With specialist expertise across all aspects of aged care, including dementia and palliative care, infection control, and respite care, we support each resident with kindness and compassion.

Award-winning backyard

Charingfield boasts some of the most beautiful gardens in the local area and they have twice won the Waverley Council’s Garden Awards. With established trees, flower beds, raised veggie patches and meandering pathways, they are bursting with colour and fragrance. Residents can stroll through the walkways, join in rewarding garden projects, and even do some planting of their own.

Design your own day

Just like at home, you decide how you’d like to spend your day. When you rise, eat and shower is up to you, and you’re supported to keep doing the things you’ve always enjoyed. Our resident-driven Lifestyle Program includes a range of interesting activities and outings. There’s no set visiting hours, so you can welcome friends and family whenever you like.

A flexible approach to home-made meals

When it comes to food, there’s plenty of choice and variety. Everything is freshly made in our own restaurant-style kitchen, and our seasonal menus offer a mix of family favourites and modern options. You can choose when and where you eat your meals, and our kitchen staff can make you and your visitors a snack or drink at any time.

Built for the community

Charingfield was built by the Christian Brothers in 1993 on a foundation of compassion, grace and inclusivity, and this continues to be our ethos today. All residents are welcome to visit our beautiful on-site Chapel for regular services or private reflection, and receive pastoral support.

“I first came to Charingfield for a respite stay. During this visit I heard the phrase “Charingfield is your home”, and this has proved to be so. Here I find there is always someone to care for my physical, mental and social needs. I am treated as an individual and welcomed as a member of a special community. My family is included in that community too.”
