"I wanted to express my thanks for the care and support provided to my mother. Mum came to Arcare after being a resident at another facility on the NSW coast. During COVID, mum’s mental and physical health declined substantially and we were very concerned for her health and wellbeing. As mum’s preference for a warmer climate, we all agreed that moving to Qld to be closer to my sister would be best.

After some investigation, it determined that your place would be a suitable place. At the end of her time in NSW, mum had lost interest in all activities, refused to come out to visit with family, was becoming increasingly frail and losing weight. She had a couple of hospital admissions as well.

Now when I talk with her, her voice is bright and chirpy. She talks enthusiastically about what is happening, and is gradually starting to participate in activities. It is such a relief! I wanted to write and say thank you for your care and I look forward to visiting mum in the near future."
