Benetas - St John's Park

Part of Benetas

St John’s Park is close to Mooroolbark where residents regularly visit for shopping and café lunches on the courtesy bus. With an atmosphere of warmth and community, people feel instantly at home.

There are 20 places available, with ageing-in-place available to cater to those with more specialised needs.

Accommodation is divided into four interconnected houses, each with its own kitchen, dining and lounge area, lending a homely feel. All rooms have ensuites, individual climate control and the option of full laundry service. Phones can be connected and internet is available from shared hubs in the common areas of the facility.

St John’s offers a wide range of activities and pastoral care support to help clients engage spiritually, socially and emotionally. The home fosters strong links with the local community, churches and social groups, giving residents access to essential networks beyond the facility.

Residents get to know each other, develop friendships and host visitors in the multiple lounge and dining areas. Landscaped gardens offer a peaceful refuge for personal reflection while the raised garden beds keep the green thumbs busy.

The meals are fresh, healthy and prepared onsite in consultation with a dietician. Residents’ cultural and religious beliefs are catered to and personal preferences are reflected as much as possible.

Staff and volunteers bring level of pastoral sensibility to all their roles, while non-denominational volunteers provide individualised and ongoing spiritual and emotional support.
