Windsor Aged Care Services offers ageing-in-place across its two traditionally designed buildings, Palmer and Thorne. The décor is classic and traditional with a homelike feel. Windsor offers a mixture of accommodation comprising of single or shared bedrooms with ensuites.
As expert dementia care specialists Windsor Aged Care understands the importance of a familiar environment for residents that enhances safety and well-being. Therefore we encourage residents to tailor their rooms with precious and treasured keepsakes ensuring memories and experiences are maximised.
The open plan of our home allows ease of physical and visual access to optimize everyday living experiences, promoting independence and mirroring home life. Continuing with the Associations philosophy, all meals are prepared on site and the home cooking allows the smells and activity to create an environment reminiscent of every day home life.
Windsor Aged Care endeavours to focus on quality of life for residents in consultation with families and representatives, to enable them to maintain interests and independence and keep them connected to their community, family and friends. Through our wellness and re-enablement approach we offer access to physiotherapist, speech pathologist, occupational therapist, podiatrist and exercise physiologist. Additionally, everyday familiar activities are incorporated in the seven days per week lifestyle program. Our unique lifestyle program offers a range of group and individual activities for residents including cooking, music programs, art appreciation, art classes, and flexibility and fitness sessions.
Both Thorne and Palmer have sun-protected outdoor entertainment areas for eating, relaxation or connection to the outdoors. We have purposely designed raised garden beds, chicken coup and a butterfly house for families especially grandchildren to enjoy time in the gardens with their grandparents.
The shared ensuited room is set with a classic and traditional decor and able to provide secure dementia care. Rooms are bright and airy with large picture windows allowing natural light and ventilation and also views of the surrounding garden or community. Bathroom are equipped with walk-in showers and easy access toilet for independence. Accommodation comes with height adjustable beds, bedside table, builtin wardrobe, heating and cooling systems, homestyle cooking and 24 hour care staff. We encourage residents to tailor their rooms with precious and treasured keepsakes ensuring memories and experiences are maximised.
