The federal government has tonight announced a major overhaul to help improve Australia’s aged care sector. A $3.9 billion investment into the industry over the next four years will aim to increase care minutes in residential aged care, help build a qualified aged care workforce and protect our seniors from abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
93-year-old Barbara Wilson has been a resident at BlueCross Hansworth for just more than 18 months. Barbara moved in shortly after her Dementia diagnoses and is comfortable discussing how it feels for her living with dementia, as well as a what it is like living in a residence with friends who have different types of dementia too.
WA Seniors Week – which runs from 6 to 13 November - celebrates the contributions of older Western Australians and it’s a particularly special time for residents at Regis Nedlands, which uses the week to honour its seniors and the interesting and diverse lives they have lived.
After two longs years Lifeview’s Positive Ageing Celebration (PAC) was back bigger and better this week. Residents and their families were invited to a magical Mad Hatter's Tea Party at the Springvale Town Hall on 20 October 2022. Greeted by characters from Alice in Wonderland, they enjoyed a High Tea, entertainment and most importantly, dancing!
