Federal Budget 2022-23: Aged Care

on Tuesday, October 25, 2022

The federal government has tonight announced a major overhaul to help improve Australia’s aged care sector. A $3.9 billion investment into the industry over the next four years will aim to increase care minutes in residential aged care, help build a qualified aged care workforce and protect our seniors from abuse, neglect, and exploitation.

The recent aged care reforms are reflected heavily in this Budget, responding directly to the 23 recommendations of the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety.
