IRT Group employees were announced winners at this week’s NSW/ACT Leading Age Services Australia’s (LASA) Excellence in Age Services Awards.
Anglican Care has turned green with several environmental programs either being launched, in pilot or achieved over the past twelve months. The largest, and most significant, recognition sees the group recognised for its environmental sustainability, achieving “Bronze Partner” status with the NSW Government’s Sustainability Advantage program. Anglican Care is one of only a handful of aged care organisations in the Hunter to have achieved this acknowledgement.
It is said it takes a village to raise a child and when it comes to two-month- old Pyper Nancy Winter, nothing could be closer to the truth. Instead of the usual number of grandparents, she has 98 adopted seniors at Baptistcare’s Gracehaven Residential Care in Rockingham doting on her.
IRT Foundation will hold an inaugural charity race day called the ‘Race Against Homelessness’ at Kembla Grange Racecourse on 15 June. All funds raised by the event will help tackle the growing homeless crisis faced by disadvantaged older people in the Illawarra.
