Norma Williamson and Audrey ‘Joy’ Huntly have always had a close connection. Now the sisters have been happily reunited and live just a few rooms away from each other at the same Bundaberg aged care community. It has been more than 70 years since Norma and Joy last lived together under the same roof. Joy was overjoyed when she found out she would be residing as her sibling at Carinity Kepnock Grove.
Arcare Hope Island recently had an exciting visit from alpacas Noodles and Peaches, brought in by Mountview Alpaca Farm. The residents loved the experience and straight away were asking “when can they come visit again!” This was also the first time that most of the residents had ever fed, cuddled, or interacted with an alpaca up close. They also walked around the facility and visited resident’s rooms for those who were not able to enjoy the experience in the courtyard.
