Aged Care Perth: Bethanie Award Nominations for Aged Care Workers Open

Nominations for the 2012 Bethanie Medallion Categories are now open which will reward a range of volunteers and professionals for outstanding work in the Aged Care sector. The major awards that will be delivered this year include the Bethanie Professional Medallion, the Bethanie Volunteer Medallion (organisation and individual) and the Media Reporting Medallion.

Bethanie operates many residential aged care facilities throughout Western Australia and began the Bethanie Medallion awards in 2004.

The Bethanie Professional Medallion will award any professional in the Aged Care industry who consistently delivers exceptional service to the sector. Professionals in the sector (both full time and part time) may include doctors, nurses, care workers, allied health professionals or anyone making a difference to the Aged Care community through their work.

The Bethanie Volunteer Medallion will award an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the Aged Care industry through volunteer work. This award will also be presented to a volunteer-based organisation.

The Bethanie Media Reporting Medallion acknowledges the role the media plays in shaping the public perception of aged care, and will be awarded to a Western Australian media organisation in acknowledgement of balanced and fair reporting on an aged care issue.
