Nobody has met and cared for more residents of the Carinity Colthup Manor aged care community than Esther Arulogun. She has served as a nurse for more than 50 years, with the last four decades supporting Ipswich seniors.

A group of Year 10 and 11 students from Riverside Christian College is about to start a school-based traineeship and Certificate III in Individual Support using PresCare’s communities as their living classroom. The seven students will undertake a two-year traineeship, initially making use of the training room, but in time working with the PresCare teams so they gain valuable hands-on experience caring for residents.
Leonie Mules, Enrolled Nurse at Resthaven Port Elliot, is this year marking 40 years of employment with Resthaven. ‘I started at Resthaven Bellevue Heights, on a four-week contract,’ Leonie says. ‘And things just went on from there!’ Leonie was recommended the job by her mother, who was working as a cook at the site.
