New Studio Rooms Cater to Aged Care Needs

A new option in aged care accommodation is now available with the opening of Masonic Care Queensland’s new, exclusive, studio aged care rooms at Sandgate.

Purpose designed to cater for a range of care needs, the air-conditioned rooms boast elevated views, a private lounge and private ensuite.

"Residents will enjoy the privacy and exclusivity of these studio rooms located on the highest floor of our facility," said Facility Manager Carol Tapper.

The studio rooms form part of a major refurbishment of the site’s Musgrave Aged Care facility, originally opened in 1970, which has seen the facility reinvigorated with new lifts, furnishings, floor coverings, artwork, outdoor areas and community facilities.

"We have such a vibrant community here at Sandgate and our residents benefit from a wide range of activities and easy access to our café, gift shop, hairdressing salon, library and community centre," said Mrs Tapper.
