Catholic Healthcare Secures Prime Maroubra Site for New Aged Care Development

Following a successful bidding process, Catholic Healthcare has announced it has purchased the former Maroubra RSL Memorial Bowling Club site, situated just 280 metres from Maroubra Beach.

Catholic Healthcare was chosen ahead of 39 other bidders, which included major residential developers, education businesses, and a number of aged care providers.

The 10,850 square metre site will house a brand new aged care campus, featuring state-of-the-art design and integration with respite, home and community care services for seniors living in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, as well as creating more jobs for the sector.

“Catholic Healthcare is extremely excited about the purchase of this unique Sydney site,” Michael Lockwood, General Manager (Property), said.

“Our vision is to create a community focused integrated aged, retirement and community care precinct with numerous opportunities to provide care for the growing ageing population of Sydney’s eastern suburbs.”
