RDNS HomeCare Celebrates NSW Senior’s Festival

on Tuesday, March 14, 2017

RDNS HomeCare has celebrated NSW Senior’s Festival with a Healthy Lifestyle Zone at the Senior’s Expo in Sydney last week.

The healthy lifestyle zone explored a range of activities that can help people stay active, healthy and engaged, from dance lessons and bowls, tai chi and yoga for those wanting to get active to massages for relaxation and a Maggie Beer fresh juice bar for a healthy energy boost.

The Expo held at the Sydney International Convention Centre, focused on demonstrating the huge range of options available to support choices that help people keep doing the things they love.

RSL Care and RDNS Executive General Manager of Brand and Business Development, Dan Woods says the festival was a great opportunity to showcase the support RDNS HomeCare could offer to guide people through the Increasing Choice in Home Care reforms, as well as the broader work RDNS was doing to promote active and health ageing.

“RDNS HomeCare was thrilled to be back supporting the NSW Seniors Festival this week,” he said.

“This year we offered an exciting range of activities and experiences for people to come and try; from yoga, dancing, and bowling, to freshly squeezed juices and massages. We also provided important information on recent changes in the health and aged care industry and health information fromour Be Healthy and Active partnership with Bowls Australia and the Maggie Beer Foundation, which brings allied health experts into local community centres year-round to educate people about nutrition, skin health, importance of staying active and positive ageing.”
