From Aged Care to Retirement Living: Sectors Making Swift and Smart Moves in 2020

When Swift Media launched its integrated Swift Plus communications and entertainment system to the Aged Care market in early 2020, the timing appeared tough with providers focused on keeping residents safe. Just eight months on, response has been so successful the company is formally launching into the Retirement Living market. Swift has already started rolling out its technology to over 900 apartments.

Providers were searching for innovative ways to maintain strong connections between residents and families keep everyone informed, engaged and happy even when face-to-face contact was limited.

Swift proved without doubt it is possible to create powerful communities using its proprietary technology in the most difficult of times.

It is this sense of community, as well as the ability to deliver curated entertainment packages for distinct audiences that is also appealing to retirement villages, with four providers already signed up.

Since the Swift Plus technology was launched in March 2020, the company has signed agreements to install its proprietary technology in over 3,000 rooms in more than 30 facilities across the Aged Care and Retirement Living sectors.

Swift Plus makes it easy for community managers to keep everyone up to date with what’s going on, livestreaming events, sharing photos and video from special occasions, as well as important health and safety notices, all direct to residents’ TVs, as well as via the complementary ‘My Family My Community’ mobile app for residents and family members.

Exceptional entertainment is key too, with access to the latest release Hollywood blockbusters, drama, comedy and action films and lifestyle content.
