Bethanie, one of Western Australia’s most well-known not-for-profit aged care and retirement living providers, are leading the way in dementia awareness with numerous free events and seminars throughout Dementia Awareness Month (September).
The Turnbull Government is supporting communities in East Arnhem Land to establish an Indigenous aged care service for local Elders that also creates and sustains local jobs.
Dozens of blankets are being handcrafted for charity, thanks to the talent and time of seniors in the knitting club at Mercy Place Edgewater.

Phil Thompson worked as a photographer for much of his life, and was on the Harbour when the Japanese subs invaded Sydney. Phil, now a resident at Courtlands Village in North Parramatta, grew up dirt poor in Sydney’s inner west in the 1930s after his father contracted tuberculosis.
