Neuroscience Research Australia (NeuRA) is calling for book clubs across the country to read a book this October about brain health.

The ‘Books for Brains’ initiative aims to encourage book clubs to think about the importance of brain research and brain health and are encouraged to think about the importance of NeuRA’s latest discoveries and research.

 

Upcoming Aged Care Events: Carers Week

A range of events will take place over the country to celebrate the 2.6 million people who are currently cares in our community.

‘Carer’s Week’ will run from Sunday 13th October to Saturday 19th October for carers to get together and provide support to each other, while also spreading awareness about the work carers do in the community.

Aged Care Provider Finalist in Employee Return to Work Award

Aged care provider Catholic Homes has been nominated in the 2013 Worksafe Awards in the ‘Employer Excellence in Return to Work’ category.

The not-for-profit organisation is a chosen finalist among 323 entries over 10 categories, due to their ability to demonstrate the implementation of strategies which allow their injured employees to return to work.
