Brightwater Announces New Chief Executive

Brightwater Care Group has announced the appointment of Jennifer Lawrence as its new Chief Executive Officer effective from March 2016.

Jennifer Lawrence joined Brightwater in 2003 as the General Manager, Care Operations and has more recently held the position of General Manager, Disability, Research and Risk.

Chairman Steven Cole said the appointment of Jennifer Lawrence was a testament to Brightwater’s commitment to developing leaders within the organisation.

“Following an extensive local and international search for a new CEO, the Board is particularly proud to be announcing that the standout candidate for the position was an internal candidate,” he said.

“Jennifer brings with her strong business acumen, and a wealth of knowledge of the aged and disability sectors.

“She has considerable human resources, strategic development and management experience, combined with a strong science and pathology background.”

“Her diverse background together with her in depth understanding of the organisation provides an excellent foundation upon which to lead Brightwater.

“We are excited for the future of Brightwater and we are confident that Jennifer Lawrence will continue the outstanding legacy left by Dr Penny Flett,” said Mr Cole.
