Bethanie Waters Partners with Woolworths for Flower Donation

Bethanie Waters in Port Kennedy have developed a local partnership with Woolworths Secret Harbour, which is proving invaluable for residents within the aged care residence.

Each Wednesday, Bethanie Waters staff collect all the remaining flowers Woolworths can no longer sell and now residents are enjoying fresh flower arranging each week.

Bethanie Waters Occupational Therapist, Skye Scantlebury comments, “The flowers are still so beautiful and come in such colour and variety. 

“We are so grateful to see them go to good use with our residents, they really help to get the creative juices flowing, particularly with our dementia care residents.

The residence is now enjoying fresh flowers throughout and residents with birthdays are getting special deliveries. One resident previously owned four florists so enjoys sharing her knowledge with others.
