200 Reasons to Smile

The Lourdes Valley Ladies Knitting Group at Southern Cross Care SA & NT Inc. - Lourdes Valley have recently completed knitting 200 wraps - an amazing achievement which was celebrated with a lovely morning tea. 

The rugs will be donated to Wrap with Love, a charity which works with international aid agencies of high repute, who make sure that the wraps are delivered directly to people in areas of trauma and need.

It has taken the group almost eight years to knit the 200 rugs and group member Elizabeth Puddy said there was a two fold purpose.

“All 200 rugs have or will be donated and it’s also a good social activity for us,” she said.

“I am very proud of the group and we certainly have something to celebrate!”
