Anglican Care’s dedication to innovation and collaboration has been rewarded at the 2017 Aged & Community Services Awards NSW & ACT; winning two of three finalist categories presented at the prestigious Doltone House.
The Annual Awards celebrate excellence across the not-for-profit aged and community care sector and recognise the people who contribute to the quality of life of older people and people with disabilities and their carers.
Jacqui Culver was named employee of the year for excellence across the sector. Ms Culver is a Nurse Practitioner in Palliative Care and Advanced Dementia. Her role encompasses clinical leadership, education, quality improvement and research activities as part of an advance practice role. She plays an integral part in guiding Anglican Care's approach to delivering excellence in aged, palliative and dementia care for older people.
“This is a well-deserved honour for Jacqui and is a significant recognition to her from the industry. Her compassion, professional integrity and ethical conduct is well respected not just within Anglican Care but in the wider aged care community,” said Anglican Care CEO Mr Colin Osborne.
The organisation also won the category of Exceptional Human Resources Management; a true honour for the management of Anglican Care. These awards were fabulous recognition for the 900+ staff that are the lifeblood of Anglican Care.
