Joey Scouts Visit Resthaven Paradise

A group of nine ‘Joey Scouts’ recently visited residents at Resthaven Paradise.

Lifestyle Coordinator, Lesley Lamb, says, "The Joeys visited residents as part of attaining their 'Caring and Sharing' badges."

However, the visit meant so much more for everyone involved.

"We were delighted to host the Joeys, their parents, and the Scout leader," says Lesley. 

"The children each brought in a favourite toy or book, which was discussed with the residents.One of the girls read her favourite book out loud to residents, which was just adorable."

The children then helped to serve supper, sharing cocoa and chocolate biscuits with residents.

"Everyone had a lovely time, and the children didn’t want to leave! We would love to host them again, and hope to make their visits a regular event."
