Resthaven Marion Community Services ‘Pamper Day’

Resthaven Marion Community Services clients recently enjoyed a day of pampering at the site at 43 Finniss Street, Marion.

Coordinator, Bronwyn Shepherdson, said, "As clients arrived at the site, they were welcomed into a room that provided a relaxing and calm environment."

Soft music and fragrant scents gave a warm and welcoming start to their day ahead. Staff provided clients foot massages and hand and nail treatments.

For the men, there was a shave and shoe shine, and for the ladies, a hair styling.

Guests sat under warmed blankets as they chatted and relaxed with music and relaxation books.

Lunch was enjoyed in the garden room, with sandwiches, cakes, champagne and soft drinks on offer, followed by a cheese platter, tea and coffee, and chocolates.

Guests then enjoyed a photo session, with some choosing to be photographed with their partners, and others dressing up.

As the day came to a close, guests were delighted with the treatment they had received, and left smiling and relaxed, with a ‘goody bag’ of pamper gifts.

One lucky client, Mrs Mavis Wood, took home an additional gift of a pamper basket filled with lots of special goodies. She may or may not share them with her husband, Colin, who also attended on the day!
