Moran Engadine Residents Celebrate Spring in Style

Residents, family and staff at Moran Engadine celebrated the arrival of Spring in style on Saturday 29th September with a Spring Ball. The pink, black and white themed event held on Saturday afternoon created great anticipation and excitement throughout the home with residents preparing for the event well in advance.

Hairdressers, beauty therapists, nail and makeup artists came and primped and primed residents on the day to ensure that everyone arrived Spring Ball ready and looking and feeling their best.  Moran Engadine staff got on board wearing cocktail dresses and some wore their national dress, even the grandkids got dressed up and involved, ensuring that the event was bright, colourful and most celebratory.

Head Chef, Matt and his team whipped up a sumptuous afternoon tea and professional ballroom dancers added to the glamour of the afternoon.

After the professional dancers had finished their performances they took turns dancing with everyone and then the event evolved into a huge party with staff, residents and relatives giving Tina Turner’s Nutbush a work out!

Not only did they go above and beyond, they also got their family and friends involved in the event too. The Spring Ball really encapsulates what Moran Age Care is all about – ensuring that the individuals in our care (our residents) enjoy each day to the best of their ability and to celebrate who they are.”

Resident, Valerie Murray loved the pampering and entertainment, especially when the great grand-daughters of another resident Phyliss Cullen (Indianna Alexander and Sahara Ingram) braided Val’s hair and joined in at the photo booth.
