Residents at Medical & Aged Care Group's Casey Aged Care and Casey Manor recently enjoyed a very special afternoon with some feathered and furry friends.
Residents were entertained by trained budgies, cockatiels and gorgeous rabbits - it was smiles all round with everyone enjoying the company of the animals.
Len and Lou from Casey Aged Care talked with the budgies and cockatiels while the ladies enjoyed having cuddles with the rabbits.
June from Casey Manor said "I could have cuddled the rabbits all day!"
Pet therapy is regularly used in residential aged care homes and has been shown to really benefit residents, especially those living with dementia.
