Arcare Cuts Ribbon on $31M Aged Care Residence in Surrey Hills

Residents of Surrey Hills will now be able to enjoy five-star luxury aged care with the launch of Arcare Surrey Hills by Australia’s largest privately-owned aged care provider. 

Member for Burwood Graham Watt MP joined Arcare CEO Colin Singh in officiating the opening on Thursday 7^th December.

A community open day will follow on Saturday 9^th December, where locals can tour the residence and speak with a financial expert about accommodation fees or get advice on planning for future aged care needs. Guests can listen to a harp player, pat a companion dog, and enjoy refreshments like iced tea from Those Girls and ice cream from Popstic.

Arcare Surrey Hills, with 51 modern residential suites, will mark the 20^th Victorian residence for the company, which now has 35 residences across Victoria, Queensland and New South Wales.

The Surrey Hills residence is the first for Arcare in the city of Boroondara.

The residence offers the latest resort-style amenities including a private dining room, café, hair salon, movie theatre and manicured courtyards and gardens.

Built to Arcare’s high standards, the residence also boasts oversize suites, each with private ensuite.

Arcare CEO Colin Singh says the site was specially designed to accommodate the growing needs of people moving out of their homes and into residential care.

The business also operates a home care division to those wishing to remain living in their local community, and provides transport, domestic, social and disability support services, as well as home care packages.
