Opal Kawana Waters Hosts Its Very First Wedding

Taking place in the beautiful gardens at Opal Kawana Waters, Esther Littleford and husband Michael Owusu re-created their special wedding day in honour of one very special man; Esther’s Grandfather, Vincent Littleford.

Opal Kawana Waters resident, Vincent, wasn’t well enough to travel for Esther’s big day – but she couldn’t bear the thought of her Pop not being a part of the wedding, so the decision was made to re-create the wedding day – dress, bridesmaids, flower girl, first dance and all!

“I’ve always been Pop’s little girl, even now his eyes still light up when he sees me,” said Esther. “We have a really special bond, that’s why it was so important to have him be a part of our special day. It seemed only right that we re-create the wedding at Opal Kawana Waters so he could be part of it too.

“Opal were on board with the idea from the very beginning – it just goes to show the family friendly environment they have created. We can understand why Pop loves it here so much!” Esther said.

Kawana Waters Client Services, Louise Knight, was involved throughout the whole wedding planning process, even officiating the wedding as the celebrant.

“When we heard about Esther’s idea to re-create her wedding day we were only too happy to help out! It’s such a lovey idea, and we know how important it is for family and friends to remain connected to their loved ones,” Louise said.
