mecwacare Opening New Aged Care and Retirement Living Centre in Hoppers Crossing

On 22 January, mecwacare is opening the modern, state of the art mecwacare John Atchison Centre to maximise the quality of life for people who are aged. The 101 bed aged care and retirement living centre, located at 312-318 Derrimut Road in Hoppers Crossing, extends mecwacare’s residential services into the Western suburbs of Melbourne after recent growth into regional Victoria.

The centre is named after John Atchison, current Vice Chairman of the mecwacare Board and long term volunteer of the organisation. The mecwacare John Atchison Centre offers one and two room suites with access to gardens and balconies. All rooms are private accommodation with an ensuite bathroom, while all two room suites feature kitchenettes.

Features of this new residential centre include a movie theatre, private dining rooms for celebrations, a café, a library, activity rooms, landscaped outdoor gardens and mecwahair; an on-site hairdressing salon.
