Free Flu Vaccinations to Protect Our Elderly

A couple of weeks before the Federal Government ordered aged care homes to offer staff the flu vaccination, KOPWA had organised free flu vaccinations to staff in order to protect the health and wellbeing of residents. 

KOPWA want to protect their elderly and frail residents both in their residential aged care home , Archbold House,  and in the community. 

Therefore, a free flu vaccination was offered to all staff at Archbold House in Roseville. Two allocated clinic dates were held, and KOPWA saw an increase in the number of staff from 2017 who have taken up this offer.

For those staff who were unable to attend those allocated vaccination clinic dates, KOPWA encourages them to visit their local GP to receive their flu vaccinations, and the cost of their vaccination will be reimbursed.

KOPWA recognises the importance of keeping their residents, staff and visitors safe and will continue to have preventative measures against viruses.
