In the past month, Catholic Healthcare has successfully officially opened three new aged care homes, continuing their mission of providing quality care to the older population.
Their state-of-the-art service, McQuoin Park in Wahroonga held its official opening in early May after welcoming residents to the home six months prior. The opening was officially blessed by the Very Reverend Robert Borg, Dean and Administrator of Hornsby Cathedral Parish and the official opening plaque was proudly revealed by Mr Alister Henskens SC MP, Member for Ku-ring-gai.
The 122-room service was developed to replace the former McQuoin Park on the same site, expanding the number of accommodation places offered by 49.
Shortly after McQuoin Park's official opening, the Catholic Healthcare Villa Maria Centre in Eastern Heights (Queensland) was officially opened on 9 May, after celebrating their move to the new home from their original site in Ipswich February.
Joining Catholic Healthcare representatives at the official opening was Ms Jennifer Howard MP, who assisted in the Villa Maria plaque unveiling and The Most Revered Ken Howell who lead the service of the Blessing.
Finally, Catholic Healthcare officially opened St Catherine's in Bathurst with The Most Reverend Bishop Michael McKenna, Diocese of Bathurst and Member for Calare, Andrew Gee, as well as many staff members and residents of the home
Each of these homes now encompass state-of-the-art architecture, and features including courtyards, activity rooms, in-built cafés, hairdressers and wellness centres, as well as private, ensuite rooms for each individual resident.
It has been an incredibly exciting month for Catholic Healthcare and each of these homes and their many residents.
