Anne’s 101st birthday at Arcare Caulfield was anything but quiet. Her special celebration happened to coincide with not only Red Nose Day but also a visit from the community’s friends at the local Tree House Kindergarten.
The children, who sung happy birthday to Anne, dressed up for the event: donning superhero outfits and face paint.
Anne shared, "Being happy and clean living is how I made 101, and with the great support I receive from Arcare, I’m sure I’ll make 102."
She also celebrated with two of her neighbours who are also in their 100s.
Marie is turning 103 on Bastille Day. She recently explained her ‘secret’ to living a long and happy life. She commented, "I believe in my faith and being happy. I have always been happy and I believe I will make 104."
Mavis, who recently turned 100, commented, "It feels great to turn 100, being healthy, happy and having great family support."
With 303 years of history shared between them, three different religions and three different walks of life; the three ladies have a lot of wisdom and advice to share.
