Aged Care Residents Enjoy Cruise on the Princess Arcare

Earlier this month, residents at Arcare Caulfield, along with team members, family and friends, set sail on Princess Arcare – a cruise that would take them around the world.

The foyer of the aged care residence was transformed into a luxurious cruise ship, with passengers embarking the ship through a handcrafted ‘Princess Arcare’ sign that Danny in maintenance created.

Passengers received their boarding passes and enjoyed a farewell party as the cruise departed from Australia.

Throughout the week, passengers aboard the Princess Arcare stopped at a different port around the world. First they visited India, followed by Hawaii, the Philippines, and Italy with the final stop in New Zealand.

At each port, residents and team members dressed up to suit the day’s theme – everything from grass skirts to nautical stripes – and enjoyed a variety of activities and events tailored to suit each country. There was exercise in the Colosseum, henna painting, deck yoga and even an Italian food and wine festival.

On the final day of the cruise, passengers enjoyed a rock ‘n roll farewell party.
