New State-of-the-Art Aged Care Residence in Heidelberg Completes Construction

Construction of Benetas’ The Views at Heidelberg is now complete with fit-out, furnishings and landscaping underway for residents to move in mid-October.  The facility is Benetas’ first purpose-built example of the industry-leading ‘new approach to care’ which centres on apartment style living and creates a genuine home-like environment for residents.

While the new approach to care has been incorporated into a number of existing Benetas facilities, The Views at Heidelberg is the first to be designed from the ground up to support the state-of-the-art concept.

Each apartment comprises eight bedrooms and private ensuites as well its own fully functioning kitchen, dining room, lounge and living areas, providing residents with an intimate living environment much like a home.

In addition, due to the rich history of the 19th century Heidelberg School art movement, Benetas has named many of the communal spaces in The Views after artists of the Heidelberg school and pieces they produced.

Benetas CEO Sandra Hills OAM said The Views at Heidelberg is a prize addition to Benetas’ residential aged care facilities.

The Views at Heidelberg will also include a café and sports bar, art and craft room, hairdressing salon, cinema and library lounge as well as a wellness centre.

Providing a total of 103 beds, The Views at Heidelberg is the newest addition to Benetas’ 14 aged care homes across Victoria.  Benetas also offers services in home care, respite and most recently allied health.
