Regis Whitfield Wins 2018 Facility of The Year & Environmental Leadership Award

Regis Whitfield staff, residents and families had many several reasons to celebrate the Regis Annual National Awards Gala Dinner held in Melbourne Friday 16th November. 

Regis Whitfield was awarded Regis’ highest accolade and named 2018’s Outstanding Facility of the Year. They are also the first time recipients of Regis’ Environmental Leadership award.

Facility of the Year

The Outstanding Facility of the Year Award is based on five primary performance criteria: resident care, staff coaching and development, overall financial performance, compliance and marketing.

Of the 63 facilities Regis owns nationally, Regis Whitfield came out on top. Regis Whitfield had a very successful year with their financial performance as one of the best, and their staff engagement was off the charts.

Their care innovations (non-slip orange socks for wanderers), out of the box lifestyle activities and commitment to creating a facility that residents are proud to call home, all contribute to their success.

Environmental Leadership Award

Wendy’s team established ten garden beds with herbs and vegetables and called it the ‘Whitfield Community Market Gardens’.

The gardens generate much interest and provide residents purpose in tending, reaping and delivering garden produce.

It also allows residents to enjoy the reward of eating the produce at lifestyle events.

The Regis National Awards recognises the combined skills, energy and efforts of its people in thirteen different categories and encourages excellence and outstanding performance in line with business objectives and values.
