The Arcare Hillside community recently opened their doors to family, friends and neigbours, celebrating their completed renovations.
During the Saturday afternoon, guests socialised in the new café and enjoyed free tea and coffee.
The smell of BBQ sausages and onions cooked by the Sunshine Lions Club, tempted many out into the courtyard.
While enjoying the BBQ, guests were entertained by an exciting live performance by Mariachi Los Romanticos.
At one stage, the band had a full dance floor in front of them – including Arcare team members, families, clients and even Alan from the Lions Club who took some time out from the BBQ.
For the creative types, florist Little Twig set up a spectacular display of bright florals for guests to arrange their own DIY posy.
While working on their creations, guests spoke of their fond memories involving flowers and their own gardens.
Romaney Morcos, the talented chef at Arcare Hillside, ran workshops throughout the day; demonstrating how to make two of his famous pastas.
An experienced chef who has worked in restaurants in Italy, Romaney dispensed some valuable tips and tricks to guests on how they can create an authentic Italian pasta at home.
Taking a break from the exciting events and activities, guests relaxed with guided meditation sessions ran by Anne at Coaching for Calm.
Feeling completely zen, participants walked away with a handout on the main techniques so they could recreate the practice themselves at home.
Before heading home, guests were able to keep a memento from the day and posed for a free professional family photograph.
