St Valentine Set To Pamper at Anglican Care

on Tuesday, February 12, 2019

Valentine’s Day is a day for feeling the love and residents at Anglican Care’s Kilpatrick Court residential aged care home at Toronto will be shown extra care on this special day with the launch of the new Pamper-Me program.

Four pamper trolleys will be taken around by Lifestyle Resource Van 'Rene' for residents and consumers to undergo make-overs and pampering including; make-up, nail care, hairdressing and skincare, for both women and men.

Lake Macquarie Mayor Kay Fraser will be one of the first to use the pamper trolleys trying them out as a part of the launch on February 14.

The Pamper-Me program will then become part of Anglican Care’s innovative Lifestyle & Wellbeing activities on offer to the more than 1400 people it provides care and support to in the Hunter, Central Coast and Mid Coast regions.

The program will be launched at Kilpatrick Court on Thursday, February 14.

Councillor Fraser will be joined guests, including 87-year-old resident and Pamper-Me program volunteer Edward Jayne, who was a sales representative for cosmetic and hair company L’Oreal for 50 years.

“Edward is the man the ladies go to for all of their pampering advice. He is a very suave man,” said Kylie Jacques, Anglican Care’s Marketing Manager.

“Having spent 50 years working mostly within the area of ladies hairdressing supplies, he certainly knows how to sweet talk the ladies.”

The Pamper-Me program has been made possible by the generous support of the 62 year-old Anglican Care Auxiliary who have raised over $500,000 for the organisation.
