Benetas Appoints New GM, Strategy Infastructure and Housing

Leading Victorian aged care provider, Benetas, has confirmed the appointment of the new General Manager, Strategy, Infrastructure and Housing. 

Mr Bruce Webb will head up the division, having been with Benetas since March 2011, previously in the role of Business Development Manager in which he led a number of significant projects.

He played an integral role in the amalgamation of Benetas and Grace Bruce Homes in Traralgon in 2012, as well as the more recent amalgamation with Macedon Ranges Health in 2018.

According to Benetas CEO Sandra Hills OAM, he was also instrumental in bringing together the Benetas Next Generation Strategy, a blueprint for the long term sustainability of the business over the next five years.

“The recruitment process was extremely extensive with some really strong candidates applying,” said Ms Hills.

“However Bruce was the obvious choice given his experience in the business and ability to help steer Benetas through what have been two very successful amalgamations to date.”

Mr Webb said he was delighted to be given this opportunity, particularly at a time when the industry is facing great change with the Royal Commission into Aged Care.

“There will be many challenges that we will need to face to remain sustainable into the future and truly provide our customers with an experience that enables them to live their best life,” he said.

“But I am thrilled to have the opportunity to play a leadership role in the delivery of the Next Generation Strategy and I am excited by where we are heading as an organisation.”

Ms Hills also acknowledged the work of the previous General Manager, Mr Chris Karagiannis who had been with Benetas for 12 years.

“Chris provided exceptional strategic insights and an innovative mindset to the organisation and we wish him well in his new role,” she said.
