2019 is the fourth year that TLC Healthcare has been recognised as a Winner of The Employer of Choice for the Australian Business Awards. CEO of TLC Healthcare, Lou Pascuzzi says that these awards are testament to the innovative approach TLC takes engaging their team in a holistic employee experience strategy.
“TLC Healthcare has been recognised as a Winner for Employer of Choice at the Australian Business Awards in 2016, 2017, 2018, and now again in 2019. This award represents the opportunity for TLC to test our employee experience strategy against some of the most forward thinking employers in Australia.
“Each year our employee experience strategy develops to incorporate an exciting new range of activities and benefits for Team TLC. The centerpiece of our program is ‘100 Days of Health’ focusing on the health and wellbeing of our people through a range of team activities with a specific weekly theme, such as ‘sleep week’, ‘mental health week’ and ‘financial health week’.
“In addition to our ‘100 Days of Health’ program, we also offer Team TLC free membership of our TLC Health Clubs, bulk-billed health care at our medical centres, and membership of TLC Healthcare Rewards, a range of exclusive online discounts and offers at some of Australia’s largest retailers. These are just some of the employee benefits we offer to ensure that TLC attracts, engages and retains some of the best qualified and passionate individuals in the health care sector. The quality and experience of our employees supports the exceptional care we provide our residents and patients.”
Australian Business Awards Program Director, Ms Tara Johnston said “the Australian Business Awards exist to recognise organisations within Australia that are committed to their employees and their customers.”
“Fifty-two organisations have been selected in this year’s Employer of Choice Awards. These organisations have demonstrated innovative leadership and management practices that engage and support their workforce.
“The awards resonate with our mission of highlighting organisations within Australia that foster a culture of innovation, promoting teamwork and problem-solving.
“Fostering a culture of innovation is essential for every organisation. Organisations that are innovation-focused experience improved business efficiency, staff performance and retention.” Ms Johnston added.
The Australian Business Awards program provides notable opportunities for high-performing organisations to be acknowledged and honoured for their achievements both nationally and internationally.
The Employer of Choice Award recipients will participate in the international chapter of the program at the World Business Awards whereby participants are provided with the unique opportunity to benchmark themselves against the top performers globally.
