Regis Tasmania-Norwood Celebrate Their New Community Garden

Regis Retirement Living Tasmania-Norwood and Regis Aged Care Tasmania-Norwood have created a delightful garden that can be enjoyed by the local community, family and friends.

Through the generous assistance of Bunnings Kings Meadows, the community garden has been created for residents, staff and families to join together and learn new skills, share new experiences and of course - enjoy the delicious produce!

Starting with an empty slab of concrete the garden now boasts an array of herbs, vegetables and plants for everyone to enjoy. These include cherry tomatoes, silverbeet, snow peas, lettuce, cucumbers, parsley, mint, basil, succulents, petunias and marigolds.

An afternoon tea to celebrate the garden’s completion was held on a beautiful 31 degree day with entertainment provided by the talented Tassie Tenor. Village residents John and Bev presented an appreciation certificate and thank you gift to the Bunnings Team.
