Construction of Catholic Healthcare's Charles O’Neill Home is Complete

Catholic Healthcare is excited to announce that construction of their Charles O’Neill Home is now complete. This will enable the development of modern, integrated person-centred aged care services for the local residents of Mayfield West and its neighbouring areas. 

Stage One expansion which included an additional 15 resident places was completed last year.

Construction of Stage Two commenced in August 2019 and will accommodate an additional 25 resident places. The Home has now expanded from 40 to 80 resident places for seniors living in the Newcastle area.

The Home features a range of shared amenities that will be enjoyed by residents, their families and the broader community. This includes a prayer room, hair salon, courtyards, gardens and other activity and lifestyle spaces.

General Manager, Residential Care, Andrew Kinkade said, “We are committed and focused on creating much needed additional services around Newcastle for the growing aged population. Construction has involved a significant amount of work over the past two years and we are excited that our development is now complete.”

“We look forward to welcoming residents to their new home,” added Kinkade.

Catholic Healthcare continues to grow and expand its services for seniors as the demand for aged care increases.
