10kg Donation to ‘Bread Tags for Wheelchairs’

on Thursday, August 27, 2020

Resthaven Murray Bridge, Hills & Fleurieu Community Services has been collecting the small plastic tags used to seal loaves of bread for several years, preventing them from going into landfill.

The team recently donated 10kgs of bread tags to the charity, 'Bread Tags for Wheelchairs' - that's a lot of bread tags!

The tags have been donated by both clients and staff. Home Support Worker, Cynthia (left) has been collecting lots of bread tags through her Church connections.

'Bread Tags for Wheelchairs' sells the tags to recyclers to raise funds to purchase wheelchairs.

What a wonderful community initiative. Well done to all!

If you are interested in donating to 'Bread Tags for Wheelchairs,' visit their website: www.ozbreadtagsforwheelchairs.org.au.

Resthaven supports around 10,000 older people and their carers throughout the Murraylands, Fleurieu, Riverland, lower Barossa, Limestone Coast and metropolitan Adelaide.
