Bethanie’s Living Well Centre Spreads Christmas Cheer for MacKillop Family Services

on Tuesday, December 15, 2020

Clients from Bethanie’s Living Well Centre in South Perth are busy collecting donations and packing ‘dignity bags’ to support the MacKillop Family Services Christmas appeal.

Bethanie’s Living Well Centres provide senior Australian’s with safe and supportive platforms to engage with local communities and access social and therapy well-being services, all with a focus on quality of life.

The group are packing bags for women and children each consisting of essential items like books, colouring in pencils, deodorant, underwear and sanitary items.

These much-needed donations will arrive just in time for Christmas, giving children and their families much needed supplies to support them through the festive season.

Bethanie’s Living Well Centre Coordinator, Karen Fewster, said: “This initiative is just one of the ways in which Bethanie helps their clients give back to the community, and supports them to continue to play an active role in society.”

MacKillop Family Services are dedicated to working with communities to give children the best possible opportunity to thrive. They support children and their families by creating safe environments for children to develop, learn and grow.

MacKillop Family Services State Director, Kellie Goes, has said: “These dignity bags will give many families the support they need to ensure they can give their children a very special Christmas. The essential items within the bags will help foster a safe and nurturing environment at this time of the year.”

If members of the community would like to donate, please head down to Bethanie’s South Perth Living Well Centre at 57 Coode Street between 8am and 3pm on Monday, Wednesday and Thursdays.
