Lifeview’s Director, Peter Reilly, has been awarded an Order of Australia Medal as part of the 2021 Australia Day Honours. Mr. Reilly was recognised for his service to the community through cultural organisations, and to business.
Mr. Reilly said, “it was a humbling experience to be recognised in such a way. I try to live my life by making a difference and undertaking pursuits where I can ensure there is a real benefit to individuals and our community.”
The award recognises Mr. Reilly’s distinguished service to our community, to the arts, in particular opera and ballet and to charitable, education and disability services, aged care and overall financial governance.
Mr. Reilly has served for 10-years as a Director of the Melba Opera Trust and as a major and continuing benefactor to the Australian Ballet since 1996. He is currently a Non-Executive Director and Treasurer of Able Australia, Executive Director of aged care provider Lifeview and Chairman of Scotchmans Hill.
In a lifetime littered with service, Mr. Reilly has contributed to the development of the Primrose Potter Ballet Centre, serves as a Non-Executive Director and past Chairman of the St. Bernard’s College Foundation, and lead Lifeview’s LGBTIQ inclusion program, which saw the company become the first profit-for-purpose aged care provider to receive Rainbow Tick accreditation and a Foundation Sponsor of the Victorian Pride Centre.
