Recently, Resthaven Murray Bridge was delighted to receive a generous donation of quilts from local club, Bridge Patchers and Quilters. Lifestyle Coordinator, Soraya Fitzgerald, says, "The club contacted us a couple of months ago, to see if any of the residents would like hand-made quilts to brighten up their rooms – and of course, we said yes!"
"The club had visited us back in 2018, and the quilts they donated then were such a success with residents – they are much-loved. So, this was another wonderful opportunity to bring joy to the residents."
This year, Lifestyle Assistant, Teresa Cole, accepted half a dozen hand-made quilts, as well as a special, surprise donation from the club.
Teresa says, "I met with Val and Judith who visited Resthaven Murray Bridge, and they not only gave us the quilts that they have spent months to make, but also 104 gorgeous, handmade Christmas placemats!"
"They will make the annual resident Christmas dinner extra special this year."
Soraya says, "We really have built a solid connection with the club, who all offer their time and effort to bring joy to so many people over the festive season."
"We are sure to be in contact with them in the future!"
"Thank you to the beautiful souls at Bridge Patchers and Quilters for their generous donation."
