Resthaven acquires Chiton Retirement Living

Resthaven CEO, Darren Birbeck, has announced that Resthaven has acquired the award-winning Chiton Retirement Living, to add to Resthaven’s suite of options for senior Australian's. 

Located at 2 Ocean Road, Chiton, the retirement village is only three kilometres from Resthaven’s Port Elliot site, which includes a residential aged care home and community services office.

This acquisition complements Resthaven’s continued expansion into the Fleurieu region with new community services offices and services in Goolwa and Victor Harbor.

Chiton Retirement Living represents the next investment in Resthaven’s retirement living portfolio, following the acquisition of On Statenborough in July 2021. This further demonstrates Resthaven’s unwavering commitment to older people in South Australia.

"Resthaven senior management will meet with the Chiton residents prior to taking ownership. Settlement is planned to take place on 28 February 2022," Darren explains.

Chiton Retirement Living features 29 modern architectural homes, in a beautiful location, nestled between Port Elliot and Victor Harbor. Chiton has won a number of awards for its first-class homes, including the ‘Excellence in Seniors Living Award’ in 2017 by the Urban Development Institute of South Australia (UDIA). The village also won the national UDIA ‘Environmental Excellence’ Award in 2013 and the Master Builders’ National Excellence in Building and Construction Award for 'National Lifestyle Housing for Seniors' in 2015.
