Aged Care Residents to Host Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea

Lifeview will host Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea on Friday, June 10, at its homes and corporate office. Australia's Biggest Morning Tea is a community event that raises vital funds to make a big difference for those impacted by cancer. Those who wish to host a morning tea and raise funds register online and receive a kit to help with the fundraiser.

Lifeview’s staff will gather, and each will bring a plate of food to share. Each home will also participate with a special afternoon tea. There will be donation tins available on the day so that residents and staff can make a donation, which goes to the Cancer council.

“Residents wanted to raise money for the Cancer Council. We have many staff and residents who have been touched by cancer in some form”, explained Annitta Macauley, Social Support and Events Manager.

Prevention and support are crucial, and this event is the perfect occasion to raise funds, bring awareness and share stories of hope. Lifeview always integrates important causes to engage its residents and give them ways to participate directly from the home.

“Social Support together with the Hospitality team have formed together to create a special afternoon tea where we will raise money for the Cancer Council”, said Annitta.

It is estimated that 1 in 2 Australians are diagnosed with cancer before the age of 85. Lifeview wants to help change that by hosting a Biggest Morning Tea and raise funds for a cancer free future.
