Benetas Welcomes New Manager for Centre for Cultural Diversity in Ageing

on Tuesday, November 22, 2022

Benetas is pleased to announce that Nikolaus Rittinghausen has been appointed as the new Manager, Centre for Cultural Diversity in Ageing (The Centre).

Nikolaus has broad experience in multicultural affairs across a variety of sectors, particularly in advocacy on behalf of older members of Culturally And Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities. He developed a strong understanding of policy, community engagement and project development during his time at the Ethnic Communities’ Council of Victoria. This included the impacts of aged care policy on CALD communities in Victoria and across Australia.

Most recently, Nikolaus was part of the team assembled by outgoing Manager of The Centre, Lisa Tribuzio. Working with Lisa as the Senior Advisor and Project Officer, he helped her deliver initiatives such as the Diversity Mentoring Program and the Diversity Webinar Series. Lisa will continue to provide advice to The Centre as a Diversity and Inclusion consultant.

Benetas CEO, Sandra Hills OAM says, “Lisa Tribuzio created a strong team at The Centre, and we’re delighted to see Nikolaus step up and continue their wonderful work. He will also take over the mantle to represent the Partners in Culturally Appropriate Care (PICAC) Alliance on the Diversity Consultative Committee of the Department of Health and Aged Care."

Nikolaus says, “I am excited to build upon the legacy of my predecessors Ljubica Petrov and Lisa Tribuzio to provide leadership in culturally inclusive policy and practices for the aged services sector and continue supporting aged care providers on their inclusive care journey."
