A Family Finds a Perfect Aged Care Solution at Moran Stockton

When Caz Glasson realised the challenges of managing interstate support services for her elderly parents in Melbourne, she knew it was time to explore a more practical aged care solution. She suggested to her parents that they consider relocating closer to family, and to her relief, they were keen on the idea. Without hesitation, Caz started booking flights while her parents prepared for their move to Moran Stockton.

Fast forward three months, and Frank and Sandra Glasson haven't looked back since making the move. They've found comfort in Stockton, a place that evokes memories of the Mornington Peninsula. Frank is making the most of the convenience of having a local IGA, a nearby chemist, and shops, along with the delightful flat pathways along the water's edge, which he enjoys with Caz and her dogs during their visits.

Sandra, on the other hand, is relishing the social aspects of life at Moran Stockton. She takes pleasure in bingo, has made new friends, and enjoys the wide array of lifestyle activities on offer. Most importantly, she's thrilled that she and Frank can still live together in their double 'companion' room with a private ensuite bathroom.

With nearly 60 years of marriage under their belt, Frank and Sandra, who met in their late teens and married in their early 20s, have raised three children and experienced life in both Sydney and Melbourne. Frank, an entrepreneur supported by Sandra, successfully built, owned, and sold several businesses. A few years ago, he retired from his successful career as a Melbourne real estate agent due to declining health.

When asked about the secret to their long and successful marriage, Frank chuckled and said, "As the saying goes, 'happy wife, happy life!' We played to our strengths, supported each other, and I always knew that Sandra was the boss at home."

Daughter Caz shared her perspective, saying, "Having Mum and Dad so far away and trying to support them while dealing with their declining health from a distance was tough. We've all been warmly welcomed by the team at Moran Stockton, where communication is excellent, and the team genuinely cares and has taken the time to get to know us as individuals and as a family. Mum and Dad are safe and well cared for; we couldn't be happier."
